What interaction does Delmar DivINe have with the community of North City?
Our efforts are based out of a 7,130 sq. ft community multipurpose room on the main floor of our complex. Activities are vetted by a Community Collaborative Board composed of area residents and civic leaders who advise the Board of Directors’ Programming and Racial Equity Committee.
Our signature program is the Wisdom Cafe, which provides a variety of enrichment programs to adults over the age of 50. We have many other programs whose content is delivered by a wide range of partners. To learn more, email candess@delmardivine.com.
Outside of the multipurpose room, we are collaborating with Ameren’s Neighborhood Solar Program with our solar panel array on the campus. While many communities of color across the nation have some of the dirtiest sources of power near their homes, we are proud to say that the West End will be home to clean, renewable energy. Building community is ultimately what Delmar DivINe is all about. This work takes two forms.
We are a community of 38 nonprofit and six for-profit organizations, all of which have access to over 18,000 square feet of shared space encouraging collaboration, and including conference rooms, meeting spaces, a podcast studio, a fitness center, and an auditorium. Bolstered by capacity building training from Washington University and concierge services that help with day-to-day problem solving, the agencies are able to increase their efficiency and effectiveness. In 2024, programming at Delmar DivINe hosted over 32,000 guests.
We also serve the West End community in which Delmar DivINe resides, as well as working to bring INvestment, INnovation, and INclusion to all of North City. In addition, neighborhood groups are invited to utilize space at Delmar DivINe, featuring state-of-the-art information technology and high-speed internet, for community meetings.
