We grieve at the death of George Floyd and the senseless deaths of so many people of color before him. Delmar DivINe stands with those who seek justice and an end to the centuries of racial discrimination and violence perpetrated against our black and brown brothers and sisters.
Delmar DivINe, intentionally located on Delmar Boulevard, the dividing line of rich and poor and Black and White in St. Louis, is created using the commitments to action put forth by Forward Through Ferguson, will be an ally in this work by housing and supporting agencies that serve the diverse communities of St. Louis in areas such as education, healthcare, child welfare and community building to help ensure that the needs of people from diverse backgrounds are met and that they will thrive and prosper.
Our commitment to equity will be reflected in how governance decisions are made, what types of programs are generated, who we partner with, and how we allocate resources. At all times, we will denounce racism, bigotry, and intolerance while weaving the core values of diversity, equity, and inclusion into the fabric of all aspects of our operations.
These are the values that animate us and make it impossible for us to be silent. The institutionalized racism that our nation has tolerated and perpetuated for so long MUST END, and Delmar DivINe will do everything it can to support, empower, and give voice to all who work for justice.
