First Alert Forward: CLAYCO’s Clark unveils affordable housing project as model for St. Louis development

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – Clayco CEO Bob Clark is announcing an 80-plus unit affordable housing project at Delmar Divine that he says demonstrates how St. Louis can address its housing crisis through collaborative leadership and long-term commitment.

The project, developed in partnership with Maxine Clark, transforms an abandoned hospital into affordable housing units expected to come online in April 2027. Clark said the nine-year development timeline shows the dedication required for such initiatives.

“We’re doing it like with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears,” Clark said. “And, you know, we’re not doing it to make a bunch of money on it. We’re doing it because it’s the right thing to do and to help put our money where our mouth is in the community and help with the tornado relief, really.”
